New Feature From ibVPN: Socks5 Proxy
ibVPN added a new feature to their service – Socks5 Proxy.
Socket Secure (SOCKS) is an Internet protocol that exchanges network packets between a client and server through a proxy server. Socks5 is an extension of Socks protocol, more flexible and secure server protocol because it can’t differentiate network traffic types (FTP for torrent file, HTTP for browsing, SMTP for email, etc.). It offers more choices for authentication and adds support for IPv6 and UDP, the latter of which can be used for DNS lookups.
